Welcome to SBCM 2005
10th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Music

 

The Tenth Brazilian Symposium on Computer Music will be held in Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais from 3rd to 6th of October, 2005.

The Brazilian Symposia are organized by NUCOM, the computer music branch of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) and will be hosted by the Institute of Computing of the Catholic University of Minas Gerais.

There are key-note speeches by renowned researchers, paper sections, music papers, discussion panels and concerts. Researchers, composers, educators, manufacturers and all concerned with the interplay between music and technology are invited to submit work.

Invited Talk from Petri Toiviainen, University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
OpenMusic Workshop from Carlos Agon, Jean Bresson and Olivier Warusfel, IRCAM, France.

SBCM 2005: best student paper prize: one year subscription of the IRCAM's FORUM

We are happy to announce that we'll give a prize for the best student paper presented during SBCM. Papers that have a student as a major author are elegible. A small committee will select the best paper based on the final, camera-ready version that waso submitted through JEMS by August 29th. Two awards will be given: one for the best technical paper and another for the best music paper.
