Introduction to Faust
Presenter: Gilmar Dias and André J. Bianchi
Faust is a programming language designed for Digital Signal Processing, based in block algebra. In this seminar, we will present Faust’s basic syntax and the FaustWorks development environment. A Faust program can be compiled for using with audio processing tools as Pure Data and Csound, audio architectures as Jack, OSS and ALSA, and plugin standards as LADSPA and LV2. We suggest that the participants bring their computers so they can follow the presentation and examples. Faust and FaustWorks can be downloaded in the following link: http://faust.grame.fr/index.php/downloads
