Abstract:

Our Computer Music group has been researching and developing software for Music Education since 1995. In search for a specific development methodology for Music Education software, we have collected some heuristics that are very likely to constitute its basis. These heuristics are presented and discussed in this paper. Our set of heuristics cannot be exhaustive, but it does cover important issues of Music Education software development, and we hope they may even help other development teams.
