Abstract:

This paper analyses the application of a new reconstruction method for digital audio signals. The method is called Normalized Sampled Finite Sync Reconstructor (NSFSR) and its behavior is closer to the ideal reconstructor used in the original sampling theorem. When compared to the reconstrution method currently used, the Zero Order Reconstructor (ZOR), it substantially reduces storage size, transmission bandwidth and synthesis time. Both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the methods are presented.
